The Polish “Castles of the Loire” trail – this is how Lower Silesia is referred to by the experts. If we counted all the sights, it would turn out that there are more castles in Lower Silesia than in the popular French region. A trip to Lower Silesian castles is an incredible journey back in time, to the times of knights and princes, of conquests and palace mysteries. The journey starts in the third largest castle in Poland: the Ksiaz Castle. This monumental building, together with the gardens and a beautiful stud is a jewel in the Lower Silesian crown. We will also visit the medieval Czocha castle, together with a fellowship of knights that is still active there; we will have a look at the Grodno castle located on the picturesque Bystrzyca Lake and a massive century-old dam. We will take you to the Bolkow castle, not to mention the grand fortification at Kamieniec Zabkowicki. Should you wish so, we can expand our itinerary to include other fortifications: the Srebrna Gora [Silver Mountain] fortress or the Klodzko fortress. The trip will end with a visit to the Kliczkow castle.
